2026 Sun Moon Lake International Mass Swim Carnival

The annual Sun Moon Lake Swim is the most historic and largest event at Sun Moon Lake. Since 1983, every year around the Mid-Autumn Festival, swimming enthusiasts from Taiwan and overseas gather at Sun Moon Lake's Chaowu Pier to participate in this grand event. The full course is approximately 3000 meters, and it was officially inducted into the World Open Water Swimming Hall of Fame in 2002. Every year, tens of thousands of swimming lovers from all over the world are drawn to participate, making it a "Sun Moon Lake Mass Swim" carnival event, collectively accomplishing the magnificent feat of swimming across Sun Moon Lake.
