2026 Alishan Forest Railway Cherry Blossom and Maple Leaf Themed Train Tours

<p>Alishan's annual highlights are the cherry blossom season in March and the maple leaf season in December. To witness these limited-time natural beauties, travelers flock to the area. To continue promoting the Alishan Forest Railway, the Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Office launched cherry blossom and maple leaf themed trains in 2019. Passengers ride the century-old Shay steam locomotive with attached cypress carriages, enjoying in-depth guided tours along the way and experiencing a fresh perspective of Alishan.<br />These seasonal themed trains (cherry blossom and maple leaf trains) take visitors to branch line stations of the Forest Railway (including Zhushan Station, which is at the highest altitude of 2,451 meters, Duiyue Station, Zhaoping Station, Erwanping Station, etc.).
