2025-2026 Biennial Butterfly Viewing

<p>Maolin National Scenic Area is located in the Gaoping mountainous region. It has long been renowned both domestically and internationally for the unique spectacle of the 'Purple Butterfly Valley', and is also a three-star ecological attraction recommended by the Green Michelin Guide. The 'Biennial Butterfly Viewing' is the highlight event held annually from November to March of the following year in the Maolin National Scenic Area. During this period, tens of thousands of purple crow butterflies migrate across vast distances to inhabit this area, forming the spectacular ecological phenomenon known as the 'Purple Butterfly Valley'.</p>
