Kinmen's Worship during the Lunar Seventh Month

The Lunar Seventh Month is one of Kinmen's most distinctive local folk festivals and an important time to experience local religious culture. When the Lunar Seventh Month arrives, every household prepares abundant offerings to worship the "good brothers" (wandering spirits). Starting from the first day of the Lunar Seventh Month, "Pudu lanterns," also known as "Laodagong lanterns," are hung in front of doors in the evening, illuminating the path and guiding the good brothers.
