2026 Golden Twin Islands Art Festival

Learning from Japan's Niigata Prefecture's triennial "Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale" to vitalize communities with Satoyama culture and cultivate the public's spirit of "aesthetic reflection." Through plein-air painting and artists installing land art at tourist attractions, the aim is to market the unique marine cultural characteristics of fishing villages, embodying Satoumi culture, outward through the multiplier effect of art. Coupled with privately organized tour promotions, it is hoped to develop and create marine cultural and creative peripherals related to Hujing and Tongpan Islets, and to create more diverse categories of cultural and artistic performances for future art festivals, while also promoting the revitalization of local communities to achieve the vision of coexisting and co-prospering with the sea.
