To promote in-depth tourism in Wang'an Township and implement ecologically sustainable tourism, we have designed themed tours that combine ecological education with sustainable principles. These tours leverage unique local resources, including basaltic landscapes, the Huazhai settlement, green sea turtle ecology, handicraft experiences, intertidal zones, and various water activities. Through guided walks and oral storytelling, visitors will gain an in-depth understanding of the over 300-year history of the Huazhai settlement's development and daily life, allowing them to deeply experience Wang'an's cultural richness. This includes a brown sugar cake DIY handicraft experience, a unique and traditional craft that preserves the original bowl shape and firewood steaming method, resulting in each cake having a firm, chewy texture and a rich caramelized brown sugar aroma. These activities offer multiple perspectives to appreciate Wang'an's cultural heritage and island lifestyle. From March to the end of August this year, 8 sessions across 3 different themes are planned. This series of themed, low-carbon, and locally distinctive itineraries aims to encourage visitors to explore Wang'an at a slower, more in-depth pace. By integrating sports, culture, and ecological education, we seek to establish an island tourism model that embodies both significant tourist value and sustainable principles.
