2026 Taichung International Street Dance Carnival

The '2026 Taichung International Street Dance Carnival' will grandly open from September 12 (Saturday) to September 13 (Sunday), 2026. The event spans across Taichung City's Tanzi, Houli, Beitun, and North Districts, transforming city streets into vibrant outdoor stages through exciting and lively street dance performances. The carnival combines exchanges between domestic and international performance groups, diverse cultural and artistic exhibitions, and local tourism resources, connecting surrounding attractions, commercial districts, and cultural venues to create an annual grand event that features culture, tourism, and international exchange. In addition, during the event, the 'Public Street Dance Fun Competition' will be held in Tanzi District and Beitun District, inviting dance and performance enthusiasts from across the nation to gather in Taichung, make friends through dance, and collectively experience the passion and charm of the Street Dance Carnival. 2026 Taichung International Street Dance Carnival - Public Street Dance Fun Competition 【Event Dates and Locations】 Tanzi Session: September 12, 2026 (Saturday), 15:00 – 16:30, Shengli Road (from the intersection of Tanxing Road Sec. 3 to the side gate of Tanxiu Junior High School). Beitun Session: September 13, 2026 (Sunday), 15:00 – 16:30, from Fengle 3rd Street to Fengle Road Sec. 2 (from the side gate of Sizhangli Junior High School to Sizhangli Park). (If there are many registered teams, the organizer may start earlier depending on the actual situation.) 【Eligibility and Session Details】 Each team must have at least 10 members. There are no restrictions on age, occupation, or background; anyone who loves music and dance is welcome to form a team and register! To encourage more diverse types of teams to participate and showcase their creativity, each team may register for both the Tanzi District and Beitun District sessions, and there are no restrictions on performance content. These tours include visiting the Taichung International Street Dance Carnival event, visiting at least one commercial district, tourism factory, or tourist attraction, and arranging at least one night of stay in legal accommodation in Taichung.
