Path of Sails - Tamsui-Hirado Exchange Special Exhibition

In the mid-17th century, Spanish forces arrived at "Tamsui," an estuary in northwestern Taiwan. From then on, Tamsui entered the magnificent era of the Age of Discovery. The Spanish did not stay long in Tamsui; in 1642, the Dutch East India Company took control of Tamsui, incorporating it as an important part of the Dutch East India Company's Asian rule.
