2026 Chrysanthemum Island Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon
澎湖遊客中心
Taiwan's only! A resort-style running tourism event that satisfies all at once, an innovative race annually lauded as runners' top pick. The 'Chrysanthemum Island Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon' not only boasts international IAAF/AIMS professional course certification but also pioneered an offshore island A-to-B point course that's one-way (no U-turns), involves island hopping, and has no laps, combining sports tourism with Chrysanthemum Island's unique local features. After registration opened, spots quickly filled up, bringing over three thousand runners from across the country together to participate in this grand event. Exquisite food accompanies the run; this year features decadent replenishment, with incredibly lavish lobster and over 60 kinds of local Penghu delicacies accompanying runners along the way, including pumpkin seafood gnocchi, Spanish mackerel, cactus blood bag energy drink, flying fish roe sausage, brown sugar cake, and more. Many runners came specifically for this, jokingly calling it the marathon where they most want to drop out, requiring strong willpower to resist the temptation of the food. Sustainable running tourism, unparalleled in its class. As guardians of this pure offshore island tourism destination, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration fully embodies the awareness of sustainable ecological management. Disposable cups are not provided during the event, and runners are strongly urged to bring reusable water bottles, allowing them to not only experience Penghu's delicious food and beautiful scenery with their own feet but also contribute to ecological environmental protection and the planet. Facing the strong northeast monsoon winds, runners confront them head-on, running against the wind along the coastline! One step at a time, runners fully and deeply experience the beauty of Penghu, injecting passionate vitality into Chrysanthemum Island's autumn and winter, and running towards a brand new life experience.
