2026 Thank You for Your Love: The Crab Guardian's Journey

Every year from June to October, Green Island experiences the breeding season for the *Geograpsus dehaani* land crab, which also coincides with Green Island's peak tourist season. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, urges both visitors to Green Island and local residents to drive slowly and cautiously on the island, yielding to live mother crabs to prevent roadkill incidents. Furthermore, everyone is invited to become a crab guardian, using their hands to safely escort mother land crabs across the road, and to leave their love on Green Island.
