2026 New Taipei Lantern Festival

Unlike previous years, the 2026 New Taipei Lantern Festival will have a trial run on February 20th and 21st, officially opening and lighting up on February 22nd (the sixth day of the first lunar month), and concluding on March 8th, lasting for 17 days. It will span across the Lantern Festival (March 3rd). With the theme 'Galloping Horse, New Taipei Hi Light,' the festival features '16 major themed lantern zones' and '8 special events.' For the first time, it innovatively incorporates a 360-degree panoramic surround design, combining dynamic technology to create a colossal 15-meter main lantern. Paired with lighting and smoke effects, it will deliver a stunning visual and auditory feast. Additionally, the popular IP 'Line Dogs,' a favorite among young people, will make its debut at the New Taipei Lantern Festival.
