Hsinchu County's annual autumn night spectacular, the '2025 Autumn Starry Night Festival,' will kick off on October 4th and run for three consecutive weeks! This year marks the event's fifth anniversary, and for the first time, it combines starry night camping with an innovative 'poolside cinema' experience. The 50 available camping spots were instantly snatched up upon release, demonstrating immense popularity. The grand finale, the 'Stargazing Night,' will feature successive performances by talented artists such as Bii, Queen Wei, Cindy Yen, and Ivy Lee. It is expected to attract tens of thousands of people to Hsinchu County. County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke sincerely invites people from all over Taiwan to take advantage of the holidays and come to Hsinchu County to experience a unique autumn night atmosphere. This morning (the 1st), the County Government's Department of Transportation and Tourism held a press conference for the '2025 Autumn Starry Night Festival' in the county hall lobby. The popular band 'Vulgar Savior' was specially invited to perform, kicking off the event with an enthusiastic atmosphere and giving attendees a preview of the musical charm. County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke stated that since its inception, the 'Autumn Starry Night Festival' has continuously innovated, gaining popularity and reputation year by year. This fifth edition not only extends the event period but also fully integrates family leisure, music performances, and camping exploration, allowing the public to enjoy three weeks of fun and experience the charm of Hsinchu County. Chen Ying-chou, Director of the Department of Transportation and Tourism, pointed out that the first event, the 'Starry Field Night,' will take place on October 4th and 5th at the Little Ding-Dong Science Theme Park campground. The site will feature stylish camping tents, street music, and outdoor barbecues, creating a Mid-Autumn Festival reunion atmosphere. Following this, the 'Movie Night' on the 11th will also be held at Little Ding-Dong Park, where a uniquely creative 'starry sky poolside cinema' will be set up using the drained wading pool. That evening, the popular animated film 'Frozen 2' will be screened, combined with dry ice special effects to create a dreamy snow scene, offering an immersive viewing experience. Free popcorn and beverages will also be provided for attendees to enjoy, and Hsinchu County's mascot, PiPi Lion, will make an appearance to interact with children and adults alike. The grand finale, the 'Stargazing Night,' will feature energetic performances on October 18th on the 2nd-floor platform of Hsinchu County Stadium. It will host successive performances by talented artists including Bii, Cindy Yen, Ivy Lee, Queen Wei, and Vulgar Savior. The venue will also feature over 40 stalls offering cultural and creative products and gourmet food, satisfying both auditory and gustatory senses and bringing the 'Autumn Starry Night Festival' to a bustling close. The Department of Transportation and Tourism added that to facilitate the participation of visitors from outside the area in the 'Stargazing Night,' the county government has arranged free shuttle buses operating between Hsinchu HSR Station and Hsinchu County Stadium, with stops at the Hsinwawu Cultural Preservation Area and the Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel. Last year, the 'Autumn Starry Night Festival' attracted over 24,000 participants, and this year is expected to achieve even greater success.
