Kinmen Open Water Swim

The 2026 Kinmen Open Water Swim is approaching its 23rd edition. Combining local delicacies and fine wines, it highlights friendliness, battleground history, Minnan culture, and overseas Chinese heritage, aiming to create a high-quality sports event for tourism and leisure. The event takes place at Xishan Lake Bay, where the beautiful scenery, blending sea and sky, is widely praised by swimmers. The Kinmen-Xiamen Cross-Strait Swim remains the only sports event officially organized by both sides of the Strait to date. Not only is the seawater clear and vast, but the scenery along the route is also exceptionally beautiful. Furthermore, the open water adds a challenging element to the event, allowing all participating swimmers to enjoy the feeling of riding the waves.
