Juming Museum is located in the mountains of the North Coast in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, and is affiliated with the Juming Culture and Education Foundation. Founder Juming spent 12 years creating this museum, which officially opened to the public on September 19, 1999. Nestled amidst the mountains, Juming Museum aims to promote "sculptural" art and "children's art education," hoping to plant the seeds of art in everyone's hearts. The museum houses Juming's classic works from the "Homeland Series," "Tai Chi Series," and "Living World Series." The park showcases magnificent art pieces, featuring mountain views, ocean scenery, and distinct seasonal weather. Its exhibition space is primarily outdoors, setting it apart from other museums. Here, visitors can revel in the embrace of blue skies and green landscapes, viewing artworks and engaging in dialogue with art in the most relaxed and pleasant mood. Juming Museum is Taiwan's largest outdoor museum, maintaining a very close relationship with nature. The ecological pond, completed in 2020, features over 93% native plant species along its banks, adding a unique charm to the museum. Furthermore, through ecological self-learning tools, ecological guidebooks, and experiential courses on the ecological environment, the museum sparks visitors' curiosity about the park's ecosystem. Accompanied by concepts of artistic elements and creative endeavors, this encourages diverse audiences to explore the ecological pond and its surroundings, fostering an interest in environmental awareness and facilitating deeper learning. In terms of children's art education, the "ACE Art Seed Teacher Museum-School Collaboration Project" was launched in 2004, initiating the "Sustainable Engineering for Children's Art Services." This project also won the Best Practice Award from ICOM's International Council of Museums' Committee for Education and Cultural Action in 2017. In 2007, the "Children's Art Center" was established, and Taiwan's first "Children's Art Education Biennial" targeting children and educators was held. The museum invests educational resources to support various projects, continuously engaging in sustainable grassroots actions for children's aesthetics in Taiwan through exhibitions, camps, activities, workshops, training courses, and museum-school collaborations.
