Visitor Essentials

Originally founded in the 11th year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign during the Qing Dynasty (1733 AD), the current scale and appearance largely date back to constructions in the 28th year of Emperor Daoguang's reign (1848 AD). The temple's layout is a two-hall style, and it is currently designated as a county/city historic site. The temple primarily enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mazu, and was formerly known as one of the 'Two Temples' among the 'Three Rocks' of Central Taiwan. To truly experience Baozang Temple, one must see three specific things, to avoid the regret of 'entering a treasure mountain empty-handed'.
