Shuiyuan Theater

The Shuiyuan Theater is located on the 10th floor of the Shuiyuan Building (Shuiyuan Market), originally serving as the auditorium for the Taipei City Conscription Department. Through the promotion of the Gongguan Waterfront Integration Project, the Taipei City Government renovated this auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats. It commenced operations at the end of November 2011 and is an exhibition and performance venue independently operated and managed by the Taipei City Government's Department of Cultural Affairs, accepting applications from performing arts groups to book time slots for their activities. In addition, the Shuiyuan Theater continues to act as a venue sponsor, supporting performing arts groups in staging long-running performance programs. It hopes to cultivate operational talents for the arts and cultural industry, create a favorable environment for arts and culture, and strengthen the energy of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
