To lower issuance costs, enhance market operational efficiency, and align with global trends, the Financial Supervisory Commission directed the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) to actively promote the full dematerialization of securities. On July 29, 2011, Taiwan's securities market officially achieved the goal of "100% dematerialization," becoming the 13th fully dematerialized country among the world's top 25 by market capitalization. To commemorate this milestone of Taiwan's securities market entering full dematerialization, the TDCC specially planned and established Taiwan's first stock museum at the original site of the vault where physical stocks were stored. The "Taiwan Stock Museum" not only introduces the origin and evolution of stocks but also aims to meticulously present the close relationship between the development of Taiwan's stock market and its economic context, through precious collections, historical documents, and multimedia interactions. It also showcases the profound impact of stocks on our society, daily life, and even art and culture. You are welcome to visit, leave your footprint, enjoy a relaxed experience, and join us in opening the vault door to enter a time tunnel, exploring the past, present, and future of stocks.
