Yongchunbei Park was originally the Yongchunbei military camp used by the military. After the troops relocated to Xindian in 2000, the area lay abandoned for many years. In 2016, it was re-designated as park land, and subsequently planned and designed by the Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Public Works Department, Taipei City Government, into the current Yongchunbei Ecological Wetland Park. Located at the foot of Sishou Mountain in Xinyi District, Yongchunbei Ecological Wetland Park covers an area of approximately 4 hectares. It is the first urban wetland ecological park that integrates environmental education, ecological restoration, and historical value. It officially opened in 2020 for public recreation. The Oriental Scops Owl, which occasionally appears in the park, was also voted as the park's ambassador animal. When visiting the park, be sure to pay close attention; you might just catch a glimpse of the beautiful Oriental Scops Owl!
