Baishihu Suspension Bridge

The Baishihu Suspension Bridge is located within Taipei's Neihu Baishihu Recreation Agriculture Zone. The bridge entrance is next to the parking lot of Bishan Temple Kaijang Shengwang Temple. It is 116 meters long and is Taipei City's first long-span suspension bridge. It is uniquely designed with a dragon keel concept, connecting from 'Dragon Boat Rock' in the east to Baishihu Mountain, Daluntou Mountain, Zhongyong Mountain, and Liyu Mountain, extending to Yuanjue Waterfall. From an aerial view, it resembles a giant dragon coiled around, guarding the Baishihu area. Unlike the towering pylon design of typical suspension bridges, it features a straight-path design, creating an 'invisible' bridge without visible suspension cables, blending seamlessly into the local pastoral scenery. Beyond the suspension bridge lies the Baishihu Community. Along the hundred-meter-long Chunqiu Trail, visitors can find carefully developed professional flower cultivation areas, as well as rich local rural features, landscape ecology, and other resources. The Baishihu Community is also known as the most romantic community. The 'Tongxin Lake' (Concentric Lake), 'Yongjie Pavilion' (Eternal Knot Pavilion), and 'Husband and Wife Trees' within the community symbolize eternal togetherness, creating a romantic atmosphere. Along Bishan Road, there are many farmhouses and strawberry fields. From December to May each year is the peak strawberry season, making it ideal for a day trip for families with children, couples, or friends. The Baishihu Suspension Bridge connects nearby mountain temples, orchards, forest trails, and wetland lakes. Visitors can enjoy beautiful flowers and the pleasant sounds of jungle birds, making it an excellent place for recreation and leisure.
