Heping Herb Garden_Wanhua Park No. 402

Park No. 402 is located at the intersection of Bangka Boulevard and Xiyuan Road, covering an area of 4,693 square meters and roughly triangular in shape. The park site was originally occupied by structures such as the Renji Sanatorium and private residences. The surrounding physical environment was dilapidated, resulting in poor living quality and a negative impact on the urban landscape. Consequently, the city government initiated the Wanhua urban renewal project to develop this park. In addition to preserving existing well-grown trees and other plants, the area was revitalized with simple landscaping to improve the surrounding environment and provide lawns and green spaces for public use. The park's opening ceremony was completed on November 13, 2006. Within the park, on the side facing Xiyuan Road, there are herb garden facilities. Along the park path bordering Bangka Boulevard, leading to the historical building, visitors will find benches and an activity plaza spanning approximately 256 square meters. The walkway connecting the plaza and the building corridor is adorned with shrubs like blue butterfly bushes and osmanthus. The park also features a spacious lawn area and various trees, including banyan, fishtail palm, hackberry, camphor, and club palm. The shade provided by the park's trees has made it an ideal spot for nearby residents to relax, socialize, and foster community connections.
