Taipei City Local Education Center - Bopiliao Historic Block

Tucked away in the old alleys of Taipei City's Wanhua District, there is an old historic block named "Bopiliao." It still retains the appearance of a Qing Dynasty street from over a hundred years ago, with red brick walls, arched arcades, and carved window lattices, showcasing an elegant and unadorned beauty. Bopiliao Historic Block is located next to Longshan Temple, at the intersection of Kangding Road, Guangzhou Street, and Kunming Street. Within the block, a remarkably complete Qing Dynasty street layout and traditional shop houses are preserved. Its architectural spaces bear witness to the development of the Bangka street district, possessing unique historical culture and architectural characteristics. The "Taipei City Local Education Center," guided by the concept of integrated education and culture, serves as a hub for promoting local education. It combines school education with community culture, planning various themed exhibitions, including special historical exhibitions related to Bopiliao, and organizes diverse educational activities to achieve the function of edutainment (learning through entertainment). In recent years, beyond promoting film culture, activities, and education, the development of the Bopiliao block has also embraced high-quality arts and cultural performances, becoming a gateway to cultural experience platforms.
