Sisinan Village is a product of the Chinese Civil War era and Taipei's first military dependents' village. It was named "Sisinan Village" because of its location south of the 44th Arsenal. Within the park, there is a bunker from that period, deliberately preserved by its designers. Although it no longer serves its original function, it stands as a historical trace of Sisinan Village. The park features numerous exhibition halls and many residential buildings that retain their original appearance. The area has also incorporated many cultural and creative elements, and various goods are available for sale. Building A – Parent-Child Center: Offers a warm play space for parents and children, transforming the retro charm of the military dependents' village into a creative environment. Using natural materials and a variety of handmade educational toys, families can play, nurture, learn, and grow together, just like being at home, always filled with emotion and new discoveries. Building B – Military Dependents' Village Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall: Primarily for the static display of Sisinan Village's cultural preservation. Exhibition themes include: Sisinan Village's historical trajectory, military dependents' village arts and culture, military dependents' village mothers, military dependents' village cuisine, military dependents' village life, games and human interactions, handicrafts, and a multimedia screening room, among others. Building C – Good Cho's Cultural and Creative Dining and Lifestyle Space: Currently leased and operated by Nucore Culture Co., Ltd., the store is named "Good Cho's." The menu focuses on light meals, including bread, bagels, burgers, and coffee beverages. It also integrates military dependents' village culture by hosting art exhibitions, making it an excellent spot for casual dining. Building D – Arts, Bookstore, and Theater Hall: PLAYground Nancun Theater · Bluebird · uDesign is a new type of space jointly created by "Grand Tsing Hua Media, Bluebird, and uDesign" that integrates theater, reading, design, and culinary creative energy. By day, it functions as an organic bookstore boasting thousands of themed books and hundreds of design products; by night, it transforms into a new talent theater dedicated to promoting new Taiwanese theater troupes, new scripts, and new productions. The Xinyi Citizens' Activity Center's buildings are four symmetrical structures within Sisinan Village, preserving the unique architectural style of military dependents' villages. Surrounded by the Military Dependents' Village Cultural Park, Jingxin Park, spacious pedestrian plazas, and Xinyi Elementary School, these ample public open spaces offer a perfect escape from the urban hustle for local residents, Taipei citizens, and even travelers staying at nearby hotels in Xinyi District, providing a pleasant place for leisure and strolls. Sisinan Village has become a hub for civilian military dependents' village culture. Its low-rise buildings, imbued with old-world charm, stand in stark contrast to the towering commercial buildings of the surrounding Taipei Financial Center, coexisting as a vivid display of Xinyi District's past and present architectural styles.
