Taipei Water Park

Located next to the Gongguan commercial district, Taipei Water Park is a versatile recreational space that perfectly blends historical monuments, industrial heritage, family entertainment, and environmental education. The heart of the park is undoubtedly the Museum of Drinking Water, which is listed as a national monument of the third class. This building, originally the Taipei Waterworks Pumping Room (a pumping station) built in 1908 during the Japanese colonial period, marked the beginning of Taiwan's modern water supply system. The architecture itself is a work of art, making it one of Taipei's most popular spots for wedding photography and outdoor shoots. Inside the museum, the high-ceilinged space still preserves the large diesel motors, water pumps, and switchboards that operated back then, allowing visitors to personally experience the powerful pulse of the industrial era a century ago. The expansive park features a water play garden and an interactive water experience area, offering a variety of facilities such as large wading pools, water slides, fountains, and water cannons, making it the perfect place for children to beat the heat. During non-summer seasons, it serves as an open plaza ideal for leisurely strolls and relaxation. Additionally, the park hides a Guanyin Mountain Ecological Trail. The lush green trail leads to the historic Guanyin Mountain Reservoir at its summit.
