Shezi Island Loop and Erchong Floodway Bikeway

Shezi Island is situated at the confluence of the Keelung and Tamsui Rivers, characterized by its sandbar geology. Throughout the area, one can see stretching rice paddies and lush green vegetable gardens, showcasing the beautiful scenery and the simple, rustic charm of its long-standing farming community. Bikeways built atop the levees attract many cycling enthusiasts. From the sandspit tail of Shezi Island, visitors can witness the majestic, surging confluence of the Keelung and Tamsui Rivers. As the sun sets, its golden glow shimmers beautifully on the river's surface, and the distant views of Datun and Guanyin Mountains stretching along the horizon are truly breathtaking. Heading south, the route connects to the Baoling Bridge Left Bank Bikeway, where numerous large sports fields can be found. It's common to see famous domestic and international teams practicing here. While cycling, visitors can enjoy the lively atmosphere of the bustling open sports plaza, making the experience both enriching and vibrant. The Erchong Floodway Circular Bikeway, spanning 24 kilometers, traverses levee-top roads and enters various park areas. With its diverse themed riverside green spaces, you can spend a considerable amount of time exploring.
