Yuanlinzai Community

A simple and natural historical preservation area - Yuanlinzai. A hundred years ago, Yuanlinzai was a small, scattered settlement situated on a hilly area, where the Ji and Huang families deeply rooted themselves. It boasts rich natural resources, including century-old lychee trees and a century-old cold spring. In 2003, fixed-point observations by the Society of Wilderness discovered such a diverse abundance of local animals, plants, insects, frogs, and butterflies that it can be described as a secluded haven on the edge of the city. In recent years, with the guidance of the city government, the 'Yuanlinzai Eco-Art Development Association' was established. This association actively engages in community building, ensuring the complete preservation of historical sites like the century-old lychee trees, ancient wells, cold springs, and ancient tombs. Through organized activities, more people are learning about this beautiful land of Yuanlinzai. Historical Snippet: 'Yuanlinzai' was named because its terrain resembles a round basket, thus earning the name 'Round Basket'. It is now commonly called 'Yuanlinzai'. Within the settlement, there are various place names such as Yuanlinzai, Huiyaozi, Liujiaozi, and Mupu.
