Correctional Academy 1921

The dormitories at No. 19 and 21, Lane 134, Weixin Road, serve as a public-private partnership operation and management center, hence its name 'Correctional Academy 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operations Center.' The main construction year of the Chiayi Old Prison also happened to be 1921. The Chiayi Old Prison dormitory complex has been transformed into a wooden cultural and craft cluster. It not only recreates the spatial structure, distinctive layouts, courtyards, lawns, and winding paths of the wooden houses but also utilizes smart technology detection and remote control equipment to prevent fire disasters and intrusions. It is the first old house in Taiwan to implement a customized smart disaster prevention system.
