Sleeping Forest Theme Park

This small park, located in front of Beimen Station and next to Yushan Hotel, has existed since the Japanese colonial era. Illustrator SMART Chuang Hsin-tang took 'Sleeping Forest' as the theme and designed a series of cute Q-version animal figures, including polar bears, pink elephants, foxes, owls, penguins, and squirrels. These designs are integrated with the park's existing green trees, air-raid shelter, and streetlights. As you stroll through, you'll experience a vibrant yet tranquil forest atmosphere. The cherry blossom iron arch gate at the entrance echoes Beimen Station's role as the gateway to Alishan. Decorative streetlights are adorned with birdcage and owl motifs, featuring stars, moons, and suns. A 50-year-old wax apple tree and a nostalgic air-raid shelter are strung with vibrant colored lights. The shimmering lights create an illusion, making the night scene dazzling and captivating.
