KANO Park

KANO Park in Chiayi City, inaugurated in August 2017, allows everyone to rediscover Chiayi City's proud baseball history. Features include an outdoor music theater opposite the Family Education Center and a baseball sculpture area with bronze baseball bats and glove-shaped seating. Stone slabs inlaid in the ground reveal lines from the movie 'KANO,' such as 'Papaya trees with no way out will surely bear plump fruit' and 'There's no shortcut to playing good baseball, only hard training.' The 'Baseball Centennial Avenue,' 40 meters wide and 180 meters long, was once the essential route for the KANO baseball team to the stadium. Both the stone slabs on the ground and the adjacent Wall of Baseball Fame meticulously showcase the KANO team's rise to prominence and introduce the 16 players who reached the Koshien finals that year. And of course, don't miss the KANO landscape sphere, weighing 4 metric tons and with a diameter of 5 meters. Made of aluminum alloy and inlaid with over 120 cutout rings, it sparkles in the sunlight during the day and features a colorful light show at night, each offering a distinct charm.
