Jinyi Gongwan Culture Center

In 2002, Jinyi Gongwan made a decisive shift from food and souvenirs to an edutainment cultural service. They began offering 'local history guided tours' and launched the fun and delicious 'Gongwan DIY Workshop'. This allows people of all ages to experience the most traditional handmade Hsinchu gongwan, and also passes down the arduous journeys and unique craftsmanship of the first and second generations of Jinyi Gongwan. While experiencing the traditional hand-pounding and hand-shaping of gongwan, visitors also learn to cherish resources and be content. After completion, they can savor a bowl of their self-made gongwan soup.
