Hsinchu Park, a large park in downtown Hsinchu that is beautiful in all four seasons, is the largest park in Hsinchu City. It features an inclusive large sandpit, a favorite among children, as well as an inclusive children's activity area, moving beyond conventional plastic play equipment to offer landscape-style slides. The large sandpit is nearly 100 meters long and is divided into 3 different types of sand pools: a general sandpit, a fine sandpit with water, and a white fine sandpit for toddlers, allowing children of all ages to play to their heart's content. Many children find it hard to stop playing and are reluctant to go home. Within the park grounds, there are also facilities such as the Glass Museum, Glass Workshop, Wind Live House, Insectarium, and the beautiful Lichi Lake. The #CherryBlossomSeason in February each year makes visitors feel like they've been transported to Japan in an instant, making it Hsinchu City's best spot for cherry blossom viewing. It is a popular recreational destination for both children and adults on weekdays and holidays alike. Hsinchu Park is situated on Pillow Mountain, formerly known as "Zhongshan Park" or "Gong'er Park," and is the largest park green space in downtown Hsinchu. It is only a 10-minute walk from the train station. Established in 1916, the park grounds contain multiple cultural assets for historical exploration. The planting and facilities are well-maintained for scenic enjoyment and relaxation. The zoo, insectarium, and library offer educational and learning functions, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.
