Black Bat Squadron Museum

In 2017, the Hsinchu City Government integrated urban history with aviation themes, transforming the green space in front of the museum into Dongda Flight Park, which opened in January of the following year. Dongda Flight Park's design is themed around the characteristics of the Black Bat Squadron's missions, featuring 7 major art installations such as the entrance imagery, flight log, starry sky flight path, wings of dreams, flight plaza, 'hearing dreams,' and crescent moon chairs. For instance, the 'Starry Sky Flight Path' is made of perforated curved steel plates, creating light and shadow effects as light streams through day and night. The 'Wings of Dreams,' constructed from long steel plates with laser-cut airplane outlines, evokes the imagery of aircraft soaring in the sky. Dongda Flight Park thus serves as an urban green space combining both historical significance and recreational value.
