Meishan Farmers' Association Rural Culture Hall

Meishan Township is located in the northeastern corner of Chiayi County, bordering Alishan Township to the east, Dalin Township and Minxiong Township to the west, separated from Gukeng Township in Yunlin County by the Qingshui River to the north, and adjacent to Zhuxi Township to the south. The township comprises eighteen villages, consisting of hills, low mountains, and high mountains. The mountain ranges undulate, and the rivers flow swiftly down steep slopes, with 90% of the area being mountainous. In earlier times, due to inconvenient transportation, the ancestors lived self-sufficient lives. To help modern people understand the evolution of Meishan and evoke a sense of historical reflection, the Farmers' Association undertook the responsibility of historical preservation and cultural relic conservation by planning the Rural Culture Hall. Located on the third floor of Building D of the Meishan Township Farmers' Association, the hall features: an agricultural tool exhibition area, a rural daily necessities exhibition area, farming and 24 solar terms illustrations and texts, a traditional bamboo-built ancient house, plum garden landscaping, Makino bamboo forest landscaping, an industrial culture exhibition area, a three-dimensional tea plantation model, an antique-style tea art classroom, an Aiyu artificial forest, modern tea-making machinery exhibits, a map of Meishan Township, a panoramic view of Meishan Township, a century-old plum tree, historical cultural relics illustrations of Meishan, an explanation of the origin of Meishan, etc. The Rural Culture Hall invites you to trace back to the past, recount the old days, and relive the lives of our ancestors.
