The Wang Family Ancestral Temple in Taibao Borough, Taibao City, is dedicated to Wang De-lu, who served as Grand Tutor to the Crown Prince and Admiral of the Naval Forces during the Qing Dynasty, along with his wife and the ancestral tablets of the Wang family. Wang De-lu was born in Taibao City and was the highest-ranking Taiwanese official at the time. He achieved numerous remarkable feats and remains a source of pride for the people of Taibao. The General's former residence was located at No. 540, Taibao Section, and the current Wang Family Ancestral Temple was once his Admiral's Residence. In 1963 (the 52nd year of the Republic of China), descendants of General Wang spent 800,000 yuan to renovate it into the Wang Family Ancestral Temple. The Wang Family Ancestral Temple boasts a magnificent structure. Inside, it preserves artifacts from Wang De-lu's lifetime, including his armor, saber, sword, daily utensils, ancestral tablets, and a few stone carvings from his former residence, such as the Twelve Zodiac animals, garden stone tables, and flagpole bases outside the gate. As Wang De-lu had ten wives and concubines during his lifetime, his numerous descendants are scattered across various regions, making the family extensive. This vastness has made it difficult to collect artifacts, so not many items can be displayed inside the ancestral temple. Most related relics and documents are presented through photographs or photocopies, including his military records, memorials from officials and commoners during the Qing Dynasty, and imperial edicts. Inside the temple, portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Wang and his elder brother and sister-in-law are displayed, along with several ancient couplets dating from the Daoguang to Xianfeng eras. Outside the ancestral temple, there is also an exquisite garden and a Fujian-style orange-red courtyard. The Wang Family Ancestral Temple is now managed by its descendants, who take turns every two years. Annual ceremonies are held during Qingming Festival, Chinese New Year, and on the 21st day of the fifth lunar month, which is Wang De-lu's birthday.
