Budai Yacht Harbor

Budai Yacht Harbor is located in the coastal area west of Budai Township, Chiayi County. It is situated on the north side of the first phase of Budai Township's reclaimed land, bordered by Budai Domestic Commercial Port to the southwest and Budai Third Fishing Port to the northeast, with a 60-meter channel separating them. These three are collectively known as the Budai Three Ports. The current Budai Yacht Harbor encompasses approximately 5 hectares of water for berthing and about 6.7 hectares of land area, which includes a visitor service center, a scenic plaza, restrooms, yacht mooring and preparation areas, and a parking lot. Budai Yacht Harbor opened in October 2009. To maximize its function, it is open to the public for recreation and leisure, offering related experiential activities and water training programs. This initiative aims to foster public interest in water recreation and enhance awareness of water safety. To further improve the quality of recreational services at Budai Yacht Harbor, a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) and ROT (Rehabilitate-Operate-Transfer) private operating concession project was launched. In November 2017, Taiwan Princess Yacht Co., Ltd. secured the 35-year operating right. In the first phase, over 40 million NTD were invested to complete the renovation of buildings such as the visitor service center, merchandise exhibition center, and service clubhouse, as well as the beautification of the harbor landscape, giving it a brand new appearance. Current operational services include rental of floating docks, quay berths, and onshore dry berths; motorboat training classes; yacht agency sales, management, and maintenance services; and venue rental for banquets, parties, and wedding photography.
