Deyuan Zen Temple, originally known as Guanyin Temple (also referred to as "Tsinghua Mountain Guanyin Pavilion"), is situated on the south side of Wu Feng's former residence on Tsinghua Mountain in Chiayi County. Built in the 5th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1740), it was later renamed "Deyuan Zen Temple" after reconstruction by Master Yimin. Legend has it that in the 5th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, a young girl named Xing Shui, disillusioned with the mundane world... To reach the temple, located on the mountainside near the roadside south of Wu Feng's former residence, simply follow the uphill signs. The temple itself is a traditional Sanheyuan-style (three-sided courtyard) building. Its central main hall enshrines Sakyamuni Buddha, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere. Two white elephants stand guard on either side of the main hall steps. Side rooms and meditation chambers are situated on both sides of the main hall, and behind it, avocado trees personally planted by Buddhist nuns thrive amidst lush surrounding forests, creating a picturesque setting. With its serene landscape, unique Sanheyuan architecture, and a front courtyard extensively planted with various flowers and flourishing greenery, it has become a popular tourist destination. The Grand Hall features Sakyamuni Buddha revered with a majestic and solemn presence. To the right of the right wing is a lush green lawn, and in front are the Tsinghua Mountain Deyuan Zen Academy and the Zhengyan Library.
