Known as Taiwan's original "Sky Ladder," the Zhushan Sky Ladder is approximately 136 meters long and features a vertical drop of up to 20 meters. Its slender bridge body spans the magnificent "Taiji Gorge." Here, you can admire spectacular scenery, looking down from above to see unique rock formations, sheer cliffs, blue skies, cascading waterfalls, rushing rivers, and breathtaking canyon views. It's impossible not to marvel at nature's masterful craftsmanship. In the Zhushan Da'an mountainous area, the swift Jiaozouliao Stream has carved through hard sandstone layers, creating majestic canyons and flowing waters. A Taiwanese proverb, "One step to the navel, two steps to the eyebrow," vividly conveys the challenging nature of the local roads. The Nantou County Government constructed this ladder suspension bridge across the hundred-meter-deep Taiji Gorge, allowing you to enjoy a commanding panoramic view from the bridge. Everywhere you look, unique rock formations, sheer cliffs, and cascading waterfalls fill the canyon landscape, earning it the reputation of being the "Taroko Gorge of the West!" To experience the boundless charm of this Taiji region, a hike to the Sky Ladder is highly recommended for an amazing and invigorating experience.
