Zhaoying Temple

Zhaoying Temple is located in Xinmin Village, Yilan City. Its address is clear and transportation is convenient, not far from the main roads of Yilan City, making it accessible by bus or car for visitors. This temple was founded during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is the only religious building in all of Yilan designated as a Class 3 National Monument by the Ministry of the Interior, and it is also the only Mazu temple in Taiwan known to face mountains instead of the sea.
