Shuanglianpi Wildlife Protected Area

Shuanglianpi is located in a mountainous basin in Huxi Village, Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, adjacent to Fushan Botanical Garden. It is a natural dammed lake formed by two lakes of different sizes, which locals refer to as Shangpi (Upper Lake) and Xiapi (Lower Lake). However, Xiapi has turned into a muddy marsh, with only Shangpi retaining its water. Within the Shuanglianpi area, one-third of Taiwan's aquatic plant species can be found, making it an ecologically rich paradise for aquatic plants.
