The Yilan River Bikeway is a classic route that connects history, architecture, and riverside ecology. You can start from Yuanshan Park, exploring the ruins of Yuanshan Shrine from the Japanese colonial period, and then follow the embankment along the Yilan River downstream. In April, the riverbanks are covered in lush green grass and spring colors blanket the land, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the scenery of 'Evening View from the West Embankment,' one of the former 'Lanyang Eighteen Scenic Spots'.
