Yilan Traditional Arts Center Park

The National Center for Traditional Arts is situated along the Dongshan River, adjacent to the renowned Dongshan River Water Park. It offers convenient access, reachable in about 20 minutes by taxi from Luodong Train Station, making it a significant cultural and tourist destination in Northern Taiwan. The park spans an extensive 24 hectares, with an architectural complex that blends traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. Modeled after folk communities from Taiwan's early 1930s and 1940s, it showcases a rich Taiwanese rural and folk ambiance. Walking through the park feels like stepping into a time tunnel; its streets and alleys feature craft workshops displaying dough figures, pulled sugar, and glove puppets, alongside traditional general stores, allowing visitors to personally experience the early life scenes and childhood memories of Taiwanese people.
