Longtan Lake Scenic Area

The Longtan Lake Scenic Area, located only about six kilometers from Yilan City, was formerly known as 'Dapi Lake'. It was one of the 'Twelve Scenic Spots of Lanyang' in the past and is also the largest natural lake among Yilan's five famous lakes. The total area of the lake is nearly 20 hectares, with a depth of approximately 4.5 zhang (about 14 meters). Its topography, surrounded by mountains on three sides, provides it with a rare and pristine natural landscape.
