Visitor Essentials

The Paoma Historic Trail was first opened during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Early settlers gradually utilized the river valleys of Xindian Stream in Taipei County and Houdongkeng Stream in Jiaoxi, crossing the watershed to forge a more convenient path. This trail served as a crucial external thoroughfare for early settlers traveling between Tamsui Prefecture and Jiaoxi, facilitating trade and the transportation of daily necessities. It is one of the branches of the Danlan Historic Trail. After renovation, the ancient trail has been restored to its original appearance.
