Houshan Highway Museum

The Houshan Highway Museum was established in Minguo 100 (2011). It is geographically located near Su'ao Township along Provincial Highway 9, offering convenient access for visitors who can arrive via Su'ao Station or by driving. Situated close to the important boundary between Yilan and Hualien, it is a specialized themed museum that integrates historical records with engineering heritage. Its primary mission is to comprehensively preserve and showcase the construction process and engineering achievements of roads in Taiwan's Houshan region (specifically referring to roads, bridges, and tunnels within Yilan and Hualien counties). It is Taiwan's first museum dedicated to the development of highway construction, possessing significant historical and cultural value.
