Chaoyang National Trail

The Chaoyang National Trail is located on Guishan Hill, south of the Chaoyang Community in Nanao Township, Yilan County. Its main entrance is adjacent to Nanao Fishing Port, offering convenient access. Whether driving yourself or taking a train to Nanao Station and then cycling, you can easily reach the trailhead. The main trail is approximately 2.2 kilometers long and features three entrances/exits. The path combines wooden steps, boardwalks, and natural mountain trails. Along the way, there are four observation decks where you can pause at any time to admire classic beautiful sights such as the Suhua Coast, Wushibi Cape, Nanao Fishing Port, Dingqing Lake, Yuanyang Mountain, and Mystery Beach. On clear days, you can even gaze out at the vast, seamless expanse of the Pacific Ocean.
