Chaoyang Fishing Port is located in Chaoyang Village, Su'ao Township, Yilan County, also commonly known as the 'Danan'ao' seaside. It is the last completed among Taiwan's 230 fishing ports, holding significant geographical and industrial importance. The fishing port directly faces the Pacific Ocean, with the Wushibi Nature Reserve serving as a natural barrier to its north. The waters here are deep and clean, and the Kuroshio Current flows through, contributing to the port's rich fishery resources. Every morning and evening, fishing boats regularly return to port, bringing back large quantities of fresh, medium-to-large, high-value migratory fish such as greater amberjack, mahi-mahi, and largehead hairtail. This attracts local residents and tourists who gather to purchase the freshest catches.
