Nanfang'ao Jìng'an Temple (Gemstone Coral Mazu)

The founding Mazu statue within Jìng'an Temple has a history of over 200 years. Its solemn and serene atmosphere brings peace to one's mind. Located on Sunan Highway near Nanfang'ao's Third Fishing Port, Jìng'an Temple is said to have originated in the 19th century when a sailing ship from Tangshan, seeking refuge from the northeast monsoon, brought its Mazu statue ashore to worship in a stone cave. Ultimately, Mazu decided to remain here to protect the fishermen.
