Visitor Essentials
The Penghu Visitor Center is located in Magong City, offering tourism consultation services, guided tours of its exhibition areas, and a wealth of exhibits, such as models of traditional houses and Penghu royal boats. Visitors can come here before their trip to learn about Penghu's history and culture. After gathering ample travel information, consider taking a stroll in the Penghu Recreational Park, located next to the Penghu Visitor Center. The park spans a vast 140 hectares, encompassing a forest conservation area, a water conservation area, a vegetable garden and nursery area, and a flower sea landscape area. In the flower sea landscape area, various ornamental flowers and plants such as petunias, lavender, and cosmos are planted annually according to different themes and seasons for public enjoyment. However, due to Penghu's strong northeast monsoon and harsh growing conditions, plants don't grow easily. The beautiful flower seas are actually the result of significant effort and experimentation by professionals! Within the expansive park, you can walk along multiple shaded trails, such as the Banyan Garden Wooden Boardwalk and the Yingcui Trail. If you venture to Tianren Lake next to the flower sea area, you'll find an artificial landscape called 'Little Twin-Hearts Stone Weir,' allowing you to enjoy Penghu's unique scenery without having to travel to Qimei! The park also features Penghu's first outdoor soil and water conservation classroom, established in 1996. Adjacent to it are facilities like a water collection system area, a soil erosion simulation area, and a cactus and succulent garden, providing environmental education and allowing you to further understand Penghu's unique topographical features and ecological environment. The Penghu Visitor Center provides guided explanations of Penghu's tourism resources, multimedia presentations, and tourism consultation services. Public Transportation: Take a flight to Penghu Airport or a ferry to Magong Port — proceed to Magong Main Station — transfer to Penghu County Bus Yellow Line - Fongguei Route, Yellow Line - Shanshui Route, Green Line - Jianshan Route, or Green Line - Longmen Route (with fixed accessible services) and alight at Penghu Visitor Center Station.
