Hujing Island, much like Tongpan Island, boasts magnificent and majestic columnar joint basalt landscapes. Additionally, due to the clear and beautiful waters beneath its cliffs, it was formerly known for the scenic beauty of 'Hujing's Clear Abyss'. What Hujing is most famous for is the mystery of its sunken city. Legend has it that in the 17th century, the Dutch built a castle on the island, which later sank into the sea during wartime. Although scholars have frequently explored the area recently, no major discoveries have been made, and 'Hujing's Sunken City' remains an unsolved mystery after three hundred years.
