Jing Si Abode is located in Kangle Village, Xincheng Township, and serves as the headquarters of the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation. Almost every day, visitors come to pay respects. In 1966, Dharma Master Cheng Yen led her monastic and lay disciples in making a grand vow to establish compassion, healthcare, education, and humanistic culture as their four major missions. After years of dedicated effort, utilizing donations gathered from various sources, they founded institutions such as Tzu Chi Hospital, Tzu Chi Medical College, and Tzu Chi College of Nursing. They have also helped countless impoverished, sick, and vulnerable people, with their assistance reaching mainland China and various parts of the world. This represents one of the most moving chapters in Taiwan's history.
