Ruisui Hot Spring

Also known as Wai Hot Spring, it is one of the three major hot springs in the Rift Valley area, along with Hongye Hot Spring and Antong Hot Spring. It was developed as early as 1919 with a public bathhouse. The Japanese-style inn that opened at that time is still in business today and has even developed outdoor baths, allowing visitors to enjoy the rustic pleasure of hot springs in the mountains! What makes this hot spring special is that its water is rich in iron, with a temperature of 48℃. Upon contact with air, it oxidizes into a light yellowish turbidity, with a slightly salty and rusty taste. It is the only carbonate hot spring in Taiwan. Many first-time visitors mistakenly think the water is unclean and hesitate to enter; however, Japanese travelers who understand the benefits of hot springs specifically come here to soak in this water, which even has salt crystals floating on its surface.
